This workshop connected 35 New Zealanders between the ages of 18 and 25, providing a space for them to identify existing and emerging opportunities and challenges. This initiative formed part of the TalentNZ project; creating an informed, focused and networked group of young New Zealanders able to engage effectively with government and the communities in which they live. Outputs from the workshop include: the results of the photography competition and the LocalNZ youth survey; the publication A Youth Statement on Regional Goals; the documentary The Deep Country: New Zealand visits the Whanganui River; and videos of interviews, a Q & A session and the participants’ presentations at Parliament.
Please see our LocalNZ website for further details.
